A contract specification asks for the standard and the testing body. Here they are per product family, exactly as they read on the type-test certificates and manufacturer datasheets.

What type testing covers, and what it does not
Type testing applies to the tested joint assembly as a whole: the sleeve, the seal, the insulation and the plugs together. It is not a separate approval for every accessory.
EN 489 is written around a design service life of at least 30 years. That is a property of the standard, not a promise about how long one joint will last in the ground. Real service life depends on installation and conditions.
Standards are reissued. The BG Industry sleeves are type-tested to the newer EN‑489‑1:2019; the Covalence sleeve datasheet cites the EN‑489:2009 edition. Ask for the current certificate for your contract and we will send it.
